Being Bullied - 987 Words

Being Bullied When I was in middle school I was bullied. No one should ever have to go through what I went through as a young middle school child. It can cause a lot of damage to one’s self esteem, and it can cause health problems down the road. Now that I have children of my own, I want to make sure they know that they do not have to go through what I went through growing up and being bullied. I try to make sure that my children know there are ways to deal with a bully. And I try to help my children with recognizing if you are the victim of a bully. There are several ways that a person can be bullied. I had people calling me names, trying to fight me, and trying to push me down several flights of stairs. The first thing that I†¦show more content†¦So it became very hard for me to get from one class to the next, for in fear that one of those kids was going to follow me and push me down the stairs. Now they teach kids in grade school about bullies and how to dea l with a bully. This is very good that they teach them this, because it gets a lot worse when they get to middle school and high school. You have to make sure that your kids know that there are people they can talk to about bullies. Just as well as there are ways that they can deal with a bully. We need to let them know that if they tell someone about these bullies that the bullies can be stopped. I feel that the best way to deal with a bully is to just turn around and walk away from them without saying anything at all to them. We need to make sure that our children know that no matter what another kid says to them or about them that they can get help with them.
